By discussing with other human factors specialists or people with experience working with risk assessments what current methods are used and how to tailor these techniques to specifically address usability of medical devices. Anyone with experience working with risk assessments in relation to usability is welcome, for more information on the discussion, see the abstracts of the discussions here.
