Medical Device Usability’s team of 8 permanent staff combine an in-depth understanding of usability with wide experience of medical device development
We employ qualified Ergonomists and Usability specialists, and back them up with a world class logistics team to give us the capability to work across Europe and the US.
The team is headed up by Richard Featherstone, an experienced human factors and usability practitioner and the founder of Medical Device Usability Ltd.
He has thirty years’ experience in the pharmaceutical, medical device and human factors industries. Richard advises some of the world’s largest medical device and pharmaceutical companies on their HF strategies, and works globally on formative and summative testing programs.

We have very experienced medical writers who can work with our clients on many of our studies.
Cathy is our experienced Medical Statistician and can advise on study sampling.
Our tried and trusted recruiters, all around the world, excel at recruiting a wide range of participants from Anaesthetists to Scrub Nurses, Lab Technicians to Dentists.
Not to forget patients from many therapy areas, for example Parkinson’s, Asthma, COPD, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Cancer and Dermatitis to name but a few and patients ranging in age from 4 to 80.
Our highly skilled and experienced Moderators and Observers show care and consideration when interviewing patients who may be sick or have mobility issues. All the Medical Device Usability team are first aid trained to ensure the wellbeing of vulnerable participants.
